March 22 – 24 The Maleny Hotel is a proud sponsor of this year's Maleny Film Festival, which is run by the Maleny Film Society annually at the Maleny Community Centre in Maple Street. It is an institution and has been running for over 30 years, now providing a modern big-screen cinema experience with the latest in laser technology. Maleny Hotel is sponsoring the comedic smash hit 'Next Goal Wins' that will be showing on Sunday 24th March at 3pm . In this heart-warming story of infamously terrible American Samoa soccer team, a down-on-his-luck coach is recruited to help turn the team's fate around ahead of the 2014 World Cup trials. This film is a sporty, feel-good comedy from Taika Waititi, the director of Jojo Rabbit, and is sure to leave you in stitches! Knitfest 1-3 July 2023 Knitfest is an exciting 3 day Yarn & Fibre Arts Fair, held July 1st – 3rd, 2023, celebrating fibre arts and crafts, embracing the whole community of Maleny. The town is awash in colour with the festival yarnbombing and decorating Maleny so the town becomes a centre of art, creativity, yarnbombing, workshops, music, trade stalls and craft markets. It is a magical festival for families to discover new skills, talents and creativity using fibre arts including knitting, crochet, basket weaving, spinning and weaving, felting and lots more. The theme for 2023 is "Wild Women”. Across the festival there is a huge program of workshops that the public are invited to attend - you can check out all the details in the 2023 program here . Maleny Wood Expo 2023 - Maleny Hotel Sponsor Presented by Barung Landcare, The Maleny Wood Expo is one of Australia's most sustainable wood expos that will be held in 2023 from April 29 - May 1, celebrating its 24th year in 2023! Maleny Hotel is a proud sponsor in 2023 of the live music program that will be held over the festival. The Maleny Wood Expo has been a landmark event showcasing historical woodworking skills and talent from all over Australia since 1996. The Wood Expo is now recognised as one of the best wood shows in Australia and attracts over 10,000 people to the Sunshine Coast region annually. You're invited to enjoy three days of fun at the beautiful Maleny Showgrounds in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Queensland.
